all words are red

October 17, 2010. I don't use chalkboards anymore. In fact, I think I only used a chalkboard my first year of teaching before changing over to white boards. The world of smooth. No more scraping chalk. And, I can use bright, colorful dry-erase markers. The other day I wrote some words on the board in black marker, but wrote the verbs with a red marker. Someone asked if verbs are always red. I replied that all words are read.

Cute about "all words are read"! Quick thinking on your part too :)!

Love the gentle face modeling you did for Hannah. What do you use for your grays? Is is watercolor?

thanks, Alex- I used a 3h pencil, very lightly, smudging it with my finger. As you can see, I have no idea how to draw hair- it baffles me.

I can image you are glad to get rid of the chalkboard, but don't you use interactive electronic boards (smartboards) yet? You can make any letter the colour you want!
