January 7, 2012. I sketched this scene in the beautiful town of Taormina, which is situated on the tops of high bluffs overlooking the blue Ionian Sea. It was a beautiful night. The last couple of days the weather took a turn, as did my health. The winds have been ferocious, with thunderstorms and some hail. I spent much of the time in bed with some kind of flu. We head back to Germany tonight, with fond memories of our experiences in Sicily.

Wonderful work. Your work is very inspiring. Just started journaling. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Observe, observe, observe... you have such an eye for detail my friend...
thank you, Joan. It's amazing how much I would have forgotten in my life if I hadn't kept a journal through the years. With a journal you start to see the big picture of your life, and begin to understand there's purpose; purpose you wouldn't see normally.
thanks, FT. I find that I just don't have time to record the details, so instead I try to record an impression of the details, you know what I mean?
I know what you mean, you do it so well. You choose what's important and leave out what's not...
Fantastic detailing. It must have been worth while, going there.
Yeah, it was a good trip because of that, although I lost a week of work from something I picked up while there- still recovering...
Too bad. Best health.
